MR. BALDWIN CHEERED . Reception at Westminster Abbey CEREMONY REHEARSED (Received May 11. 12.30 a.in.) London, May 10. To-day’s full coronation rehearsal in Westminster- Abbey, in which 250 distinguished people participated, attracted a large crowd which gave, the Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, a tremendous reception. The Lord President of the Connell, Mr. J. Ramsay MacDonald, also was given a cheer. To the great disappointment of Australians and the crowd the ceremonial changing of the guard was cancelled owing to rain, and the Australian con- i tingent took over at Buckingham Palace and St. James’s Palace without the usual formalities. t THOUSANDS OF VISITORS Liners at Southampton (Received May 11, 12.30 a.m.) London, May 10. The latest arrivals for the Coronation include the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Sweden. Nearly 2000 Americans landed at midnight at Southampton from the Queen Mary. Shortly after they were followed by a full complement of South Africans from the Warwick Castle. Later in the day the liners Berengaria and Bremen are to disembark ■ further United States visitors at Southampton.
