HONOLULU WEDDING
Miss Clarice Matthewson Married Cabled advice received in Wellington tells of the marriage of Miss Clarice Matthewson, eldest daughter of Mrs. J. W. Matthewson, Wellington, and the late Mr. J. W. Matthewson, formerly general manager of the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, to Dr. Philip M. Corboy, an eye, ear, nose, and throat specialist, of Chicago. They were married at Honolulu on May 8, and left the same day by the Lurline for Los Angeles, San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, and Chicago. Miss Matthewson was well known in Wellington and was on the original committee of the County Club. She left Wellington some weeks ago on a trip to Hawaii.
News has been received from London that Miss Bicknell, A.R.R.C., president of the New Zealand Nurses’ Association, has been allotted a seat in Westminster Abbey for the Coronation. Mrs. W. E. G. Paqualin, who formerly resided in Palmerston North, left Wellington last night for Dunedin, where her husband has been transferred.
