LODGE MEETINGS
Manchester Unity, L0.0.F. > Bro. H. W. Pillar presided over a meeting of the Loyal Antipodean Lodge, Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F., when there was a fair attendance of officers and members. The report of the ritual judges ou the recent competition was received and afforded considerable discussion. Bro. E. Guise reported on the Friendly Societies Dispensary Board meeting, it being advised that because of the nature of the report no definite details could be given regarding the balance-sheet. Bro. G. Read supported his remarks. Two persons were nominated for membership. It was resolved that the lodge officers retain their present positions for the coming term. ■ Sick stewards reported and sick pay was authorised. At the conclusion of the meeting a degree meeting was held, and the minor degrees were conferred on several brothers. LOYAL SISTER WALLIS LODGE A meeting of Loyal Sister Wallis Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., was well attended, Sister Joyce Tregurtha presiding. (Reports were received in regard to the entertainipent of the delegates of the movable conference by the Wellington district, and other social events. Nominations were received for the ensuing term, and the election is to take place next lodge night. The noble grand reminded sisters of the visit to Combination Lodge, Johnsonville, to be made before next meeting, and it was understood that Loyal Antipodean Lodge were also visiting this lodge on the same night. Bro. Park’s resignation as lodge delegate to the dispensary board was received with regret. Several visitors were accorded lodge honours, and they suitably replied. At the conclusion of the meeting a games' evening was held, members and visitors enjoying games of bowls, darts and other amusements.
