Heavy Arrivals Lower Prices The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated May 8. from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London :— Fruit: Sydney Star, Wairangi, Northumberland, and Arawa discharged in good condition. Market affected owing to heavy quantities and to biis strike. Apples: Current prices are:—Cox's Orange, 13/- to 17/-; Jonathans. I)elicious, 10/- to 12/-; Cleopatra, 10/- to 11/-; Dunn’s Favourite, London. Pippins, 9/6 to 10/6; Lord Wolseley, 9/6; Alfristou, Ballarat, 8/- to 8/6. Pears: Market weak. Prices are:— Cornice, 13/- to 15/-; Winter Nelis, 10/to 11/-; Winter Cole, Josephine, Beurre Bose, Conference, Packham's Triumph, Glou Moreeiiu, 9/- to 10/6; Beurre Clairgeau, Beurre Capiamont, 7/6 to 8/6.
