DEPORTATION ORDER

Australian Planter in Ceylon London, May 9. The correspondent of the British United Press agency at Colombo states that Mark Bracegirdle was arrested last night for deportation to Australia. A later message states that an application for a writ of habeas corpus is expected to be made on Monday. Bracegirdle, a tea'plantation migrant from Australia, was ordered to leave Ceylon within 24 hours owing to his activities in connection with a local social party led by an Indian woman. He declared that he would not leave the island till he was thrown out.
