New Zealand had a link with the first Oxford-Cambridge boat race, said Mr. W. J. Gaudin, speaking at the annual dinner of the Wellington Rowing Chib on Saturday night. It was not generally known, he said, that the Selwyn who was a member of the Cambridge crew of 1529 later became Bishop Selwyn, the first Primate of New Zealand.
