No Further Cases in Wellington NEW ZEALAND SUMMARY There were again no further cases of infantile paralysis reported in Wellington yesterday. I'annerston North. — A further case of intantile paralysis has been admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital, a boy of seven years from the Cheltenham'district. There are now 25 positives cases in the institution. _ Wanganui.— A boy aged 17 from Marton has been admitted to the Wanganui Hospital with slight paralysis in one arm and one leg. Hastings.— For the second time this week a case of infantile paralysis has been reported in Hastings, a girl aged 15 years having been diagnosed as a positive case. Hamilton. — Two more infantile paralysis cases have been admitted to hospital, bringing the total to over 30. Owing to the health restrictions, children under 10 years of age will not be admitted to the Waikato Winter Show, which opens on Tuesday. At a meeting of the show committee, when the likelihood of closing the show was discussed, advice was received from the Medical Officer of Health, who stated: "It would not be fair to close the show unless all other gatherings of adults were similarly discouraged.” Christchurch. — Four further cases of infantile paralysis were notified to the Canterbury .Medical Officer of Healds yesterday. The patients are a boy of 15 months from Cashmere Hills, a girl of 15 mouths from the city area, a boy of seven years from Kaikoura, and a boy of six years from the Waimate Borough. Hokitika. —A positive case of infantile paralysis, a girl aged 13, has been admitted to the Westland Hospital from Weheka, South Westland. RETURNS FOR DOMINION

Figures Show Course of Epidemic Cases of infantile paralysis throughout New Zealand from December 1 to May 3 have reached the total of 636, according to figures supplied to “The Dominion” by the head office of the Department of Health. Out of that total 31 deaths occurred. Since March 1 there have been 277 cases and 12 ■deaths.
