MONDAY’S WRESTLING
Jack Forsgren. the popular Canadian wrestler, will make his first appearance in Wellington since his arrival for his second season in New Zealand next Monday night, when he will meet Ray Richards (Nebraska), in a professional bout at the Town Hall. Forsgren is assured of a rousing reception, for local enthusiasts have not forgotten the outstanding performances he gave on his tour last year. A wrestler of “colour,” Forsgren has a ring personality all his own. His main attacking weapon is the boston erab, which he uses with great effectiveness, and it will be interesting to see whether be can win a fall from the powerful Richards. Richards is particularly strong developed in the body and legs, and gives the impression that he would stoutly resist such a hold as the boston crab. Richards trains very <'onseientiously. and is perfectly fit at the present time, so that he can be relied anon to nut Forsgren to a severe test Ho learnt much of his wrestling from Joe Steelier, famous for his body scissors, and he follows Stecher’s style in much of his wrestling. Richards, however i> -i highly versatile performer, and can generally produce an answer to whatever is brought forward.
