BLENHEIM ACCIDENT

Verdict at. Inquest By Telegraph—Press Association Blenheim, May 6. The fact that in the absence of eyewitnesses the evidence did not provide it clear idea of the cause of the accident was commented on by the coroner, Mr. E. J. Hill, at an inquest into the death of Timothy James Pitt, aged 19. bank clerk, who died from the effects of a fractured skull after a collision between his motor-cycle and a motor-car driven by Bernard O’Con nor Gallagher, aged 23. The accident occurred at an intersection in the borough on March 29, Gallagher, who was also injured, being sent to hospital. The coroner, in returning a verdict that death was due to cerebral hemorrhage as a result of the collision, expressed the opinion that Gallagher had exercised care at the intersection, which was described as dangerous.
