The Health Department has placed a definite ban on the attendance of children at schools, Sunday schools, theatres, and all large gatherings held indoors, but parents are also most strongly advised to keep their children away from large gatherings held out of doors, and this may be taken to include attendance at football matches, sports gatherings .and every other similar attraction which causes people to collect in large numbers, “Members of the public should realise that willing and intelligent co-oper-ation with the spirit of these restrictions is in the direct interests of their children, and will materially assist in controlling the spread of infection and bringing the outbreak to an end.” NEW ZEALAND SUMMARY Palmerston North.— After a lapse of several days, a fresh case of infantile paralysis has been admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital.
