AUXILIARY NAVAL VESSELS

Programme in America (Received April 21, 12.30 a.m. ) Washington, April 20. Senator David I. Walsh (Democrat —Massachusetts) introduced in the Senate a Bill for the building of six auxiliary naval vessels during during the year. The cost of 48,000.000 dollars, the Bill provides, is to come under the seaplane, destroyer and submarine tenders, which ultimately are to cost 176.000,000 dollars. Senator Edwin Johnson (Democrat —Kansas) said the Bill would provide for a fleet of 10,000 aeroplanes. It would also provide for army, navy and marine reserve units and the gradual training of 100,000 regular and reserve fliers.
