MANAWATU’S SUCCESSFUL TROTTING MEETING

Palmerston North, April 20.
The Manawatu Trotting Club’s meeting at Awapuni on Saturday was the most successful held by the club since 1920 and 1921. The totalizator turnover, £14,893, was practically double that of the one-day meeting held on Labour Day when £7532 was registered, and almost equal to the £15,238 handled for the two days of the meeting held a year ago. The tax to be paid to the State amounts to £1256, not including'amusement tax.
