Mr. Scrimgeour’s Salary Dominion Special Service. Dunedin. April 17. The statement that since April 1 the Rev. C. G. Scriingeotir, Director of Coni merci al Broadcasting, had been placed on a. fixed salary was made recently by Mr. A. F. Moncur, Government M.P. for Rotorua, in an address in his electorate. Mr. Moncur said it was no secret that si at ion JZB would yield the. Government at least £15,000 in the first year. This statement was referred to the Acting-Minister in Charge of Broadcasting, Hou. F. Jones, who said he would probably make an announcement on the subject shortly after returning to AA’ellington. At the present time, however, he could not comment on the matter.
