FATALLY INJURED
Elderly Man Knocked Down by Taxi Knocked down by a taxi opposite tlie Y.M.C.A. hostel, AVilli.s Street, about 1.1 p.m. on Saturday. Mr. R. B. Brown, aged about 70 and believed to be single, received .severe head injuries. He died in the AA’ellington Public Hospital at 3.45 p.m. yesterday. The taxi was being driven by Mr. E. A. L. Parker in a southerly direction. Mr. Brown, who occupied a room at 1.83 Vivian Street, was crossing tlie street from west to east, and apparently failed to notice tlie oncoming vehicle.
