The general committee of the Textile Conference adopted a report on economic problems of the industry, recommending in the interests of enlarged trade, in addition to improved social conditions, that Governments seek every opportunity to reduce unreasonable trade barriers. The report suggests the establishment of an international tri-partite committee within the International Labour Office to study problems, also that Governments should consider the setting up of an international commission to study production prices in the textile industry.
