A Clever Catch, Ask a friend if he can suggest the names of nine European countries in which the initial letters are the same as the finals. If he gives up you can show him how to do it. The countries are: Turkey, Holland, England, France, Italy, Norway, Austria. Lapland, Spain. Of course he will say that the initials and the finals are not the same; but if the initial letters are put together they will spell THE FINALS. Straphanging. The scene was a crowded tram. "Can I find you a strap, sir?” a youth politely asked a little man. “No, thank you; I have one already,” was the reply. “Then would you kindly let go of my tie.” Absent-minded.
