The new ensembles and suits just opened at Agnes Samson’s are really lovely. One is a suit of mid-grey rough woollen. The straight skirt has lowplaced pleats, while the hip coat, with its nipped-in waist, has the pockets enclosed in a scroll applique of the tweed —unusual pockets are, of course, a feature of many suits. With this goes a sleeveless waistcoat, diamond checked in white, grey, brown and brick, buttoned with chromium buttons. Another new suit is a stunning three-piece ensemble. The skirt is of a dark nigger and grey diagonal tweed with white hairs through it. The short coat is of the same material woven with an added rough broken line check of white and cherry. It is a waisted coat buttoned up to the high neck with square nigger leather buttons. The third garment of this ensemble is a beautifullycut swagger coat to match the skirt, with pocket laps and cuffs of the ■ cheeked. It is a lovely ensemble—so | new and so smart. Agnes Samson, ' Lambton Quay.—Advt.
