Further American Motor Stoppages

(Received April 3, 12.30 a.m.) New York, April 2. The number idle in strikes has been raised to 30,000 as the result of a sympathy strike at the Chevrolet plant at Flint, .Michigan, employing 14,750 men. Moro than 1800 workers tire idle at the Pontiac works at Flint, and at six General Motors Corporation plants. A conference resulted in a tentative settlement at Flint, and the hope is expressed that the Pontiac strike will end.
