HOSPITAL STAFF
Auckland Appointments
MATTER TO BE REVIVED By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, April 1. The recent appointment by ballot of senior and assistant honorary surgeons to the Auckland Hospital will be revived for further consideration of members of the board at a special meeting on Tuesday evening, when it is expected that a motion will be tabled with the object of quashing the procedure that was adopted in selecting the staff. Some exception is taken to the fact that four members of the board were absent when the surgeons were chosen, but the chief aim of the motion will be to endeavour to modify the machinery regulating appointments with a view to protecting applicants who, in the past, had given conspicuous service to the hospital.
