OBITUARY
W. Cartwright, Sprinter
Sydney, April 1
The death has occurred of W. Cartwright, the former amateur sprint champion, at. the age of 63. In 1896, in Sydney, Cartwright won the 100 and 220 yards Australasian championships from the pick of Australian and New Zealand sprinters, and in one afternoon at Christchurch he won the 100, 200 and 440 yards titles.
