By Telegraph—Press Association. Wltakaiane, March 30. A four-roomed, farm house at Aw.'tkeri, owned by Mr. F. Greenup and occupied by Mr. D. McDonald, share milker, was totally destroyed by tire iu tlie early hours of this morning. Mr. McDonald and another man employed ou the farm returned from the skating rink at Whakataue to find the house in ilames. Although there was a heavy rain storm at the time, it was impossible to save tlie building or its contents. The bouse and milking-shed were insured in tlie New Zealand Office for £5OO, but. it is believed that tlie furniture was uninsured.
