Further three Rounds of Rink Tournament SATURDAY’S RESULTS Light rain on Saturday morning did not. interfere seriously with play in the Wellington Bowling Centre’s Easter rinks tournament, and the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds wore played in warm, overcast weather. Luncheon was taken when the rain commenced, and after lunch, when it was fine again, the greens had been slowed only a little. The conclusion of the sixth round finds Noad, Lyall Bay, the only skip whose rink has not yet been defeated. He leads section A, his closest rival, Skoglund, having had only four wins. Four teams with four wins each, Christensen’s, Gray’s, Pollock’s, Porteous’s and Robinson’s, are at the head of section B. Gilbert, who has had five wins, leads section C from four others, by one game, while Armit and MeWhannell, five wins each, head section D, with four oilier rinks one game behind. Those who win six games, art well as section winners, go on to postsection play. On Saturday section A played at the Wellington club’s greens, section B at Seatoun, section Cat Lyall Bay, and section D at Hataitai. The last three rounds of section play will be held to-day, when the sections will play on the following greens: Section A. HEALTH CAMP FUND Dominion President Appeals to Bowlers The following letter has been sent by the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C., president of the New Zealand Bowling Association, to the presidents of all bowling centres: — “The Prime Minister is appealing to the people of New Zealand to contribute to a fund for the establishment of children’s health camps as a Dominion memorial to the late King George V, and the New Zealand Bowling Council commends this appeal to you for your support. It is proposed by my council that a collection be made by each bowling club in New Zealand on their respective closing days. Kindly place this proposal before your centre as early as possible, and notify clubs before their closing days so that all bowling clubs in New Zealand will have an opportunity of contributing toward this worthy appeal. At the end of the second day's play iu the Marlborough centre’s bowling tournament, George Smith’s. Picton rink is the only one undefeated with six wins.
