STOUT SCHOLARSHIP

Two Students Chosen

The Victoria University College Council last night adopted the recommendation of the professorial board that Messrs. W. I. Combs and P. C. R. Wells be granted the Sir Robert Stout Scholarship, which they will divide between them. The scholarship, which is of an annual value of £2O, is awarded each May to the student which the board judge's the best student to complete a pass degree in the previous academic year. It is not awarded to a student who, in the case of arts or science, has been matriculated lor more than four years, and in the case of law and commerce has been matriculated for more than five years, and the scholar must proceed to a higher degree at Victoria College.
