Simon and Schuster, the American publishers, announce au annual prize to be awarded to the year’s most hilarious contribution to the enjoyment of laughter. The prize is to consist of a solid silver cup and something liquid to put in it. With unprecedented candour, the publishers state that the purpose of this prize is to get publicity for Max Eastman’s new book, “Enjoyment of Laughter.” The judges will be Richard L. Simon, M. Lincoln Schuster and Max Eastman, and their decision will be rendered on the basis of the Ten Commandments of the Comic Arts printed and explained oji pages 290326 of Mr. Eastman's book. Both amateur and professional humorists are eligible to compete.
