Providing for Expansion.— To allow for additions to the State Fire Insurance building at the corner of Waring Taylor Street ‘and Lambton Quay, ‘Wellington, the Government has acquired two blocks of land adjoining it. One block has frontage to the Quay, while the other faces Maginnity Street. This picture shows, on the left, the block acquired facing Lambton Quay, on which at present stand, two shops. The base of the State Fire building appears to the right of the picture.
