HOSPITAL AUXILIARY

The first meeting for 1937 of the Wellington Hospital Ladies’ Auxiliary was held at the Public Hospital, with Mrs. J. C. Webb in the chair. Mrs. O’Leary, librarian, reported having purchased .27 new books for the library. A great many more new books are required. Miss Gordon, hospital almoner, stated that for the coming winter she would again need supplies of warm bed clothing, underclothing, babies’ clothes and tins of food beverages. She also asked that women with cars should sometimes take convalescent patients for outings. Any offers for this service would be gratefully received either by Miss Gordon at the hospital or the sec- , retary of the W.H.L.A., ’phone 50-039.
