Galloping thirty feet out, Aurie’s Star ran a brilliant trial of half a mile in 48} at Williamstown to-day. Benthos lia.s recovered from his leg injury and is now regarded as a certain starter in tbe cup. Donaster is an unlikely runner. He is all right, but his trainer docs not think he has had a long enough preparation. New Zealand acceptors for Saturday’s minor events are:— Flemington Hurdle. —Soloist. Esseudon Stakes.—Golden Promise, Cuddle, Gay Blonde and Gold Rod. Brunswick Stakes. —Golden Promise, Greenhorn and Upoko Ariki.
