WEEK-END WEATHER

Wellington.— -Saturday fine, with passing cloud. Yesterday was cloudy t<p overcast, and in the morning was threatening at times. A light to fresh northerly wind blew throughout. Minimum temperature on Friday night, 47.4deg'.; maximum on Saturday, 67.1 deg.; minimum on Saturday, 56.7 deg.; maximum yesterday, 67.8 deg.; at 3 p.m., 67.8 deg. Rainfall at “The Dominion” building for 48 hours ended midnight, nil. Total for the month, nil; for the yrnar, 3.27 in. Palmerston North.— Saturday was warm with bright sunshine and little wind. Yesterday was dull and overcast, with misty rain in the morning; there was a light north-west breeze. Masterton.— Saturday and Sunday were beautifully fine and sunny, with no wind. Wanganui.— Saturday: Bright sunshine; passing cloud ; westerly wind. Sunday : Fine but overcast; practically no wind. Napier and Hastings.— Brilliantly line and sunny; light sea breeze; warm temperatures. Waipukurau.—Hot and sunny; light south-easterly breeze; temperature 73 deg. Auckland.— Saturday : Fine and warm with brilliant sunshine and almost cloudless sky; light south-westerly wind; temperatures were high until evening, when air became cooler. Sunday : Fine and sunny, with light southwesterly wind ; barometer fell slightly. Christchurch.— Saturday: The sun shone most of Saturday, but a fresh northeast breeze blew throughout the day; maximum temperature 65.3 deg. Sunday: Sky overast all day, light shower falling in afternoon; maximum temperature 64.1 deg.; barometer has been fairly steady since noon Saturday and registered 29.89 in. last night. Dunedin. — Saturday was dull but warm, a light south-easterly breeze failing to affect the temperature, which remained in the vicinity of 68deg.; barometer remained steady at 29.98 in. Sunday was overcast, with occasional showers, there being almost complete absence of wind; temperature at midday was 60 deg., and barometer remained steady at 30in.
