CHRISTMAS PANTOMIME
The Wellington public are invited to step on the magic carpet at the Concert Chamber on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and be transported to the enchanted regions of the Arabian Nights, where they will be able to follow the adventures of Aladdin and lii« wonderful lamp. Nothing quite like this has ever been seen in Wellington before, and it should be understood that “Aladdin” is not in any sense a dance recital or a drama or a concert, but a brilli'ant and spectacular theatrical production which embodies the best of all branches of theatrical art. The music and libretto are original and follow the unrivalled example of Gilbert and Sullivan; the frocking is most elaborate, and the ballets are delightful. Joseph Knowsley, the ballet master, has surpassed himself in his brilliant arrangements. Assheton Harbord, producer, has set a standard that must eclipse every other children’s performance that has been seen in this country. The cast is composed of the most brilliant juvenile talent that Wellington possesses and the production has an atmosphere of professionalism that is a revelation of what perfect training can. achieve. Seals may be reserved at Begg's.
