Mr. Richard Hughes, novelist find dramatist, has been elected a constable and juryman of the only town in Britain, Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, which still preserves till the customs of an early 13th century charter, granted by King John. Mr. Hughes lives at Laugharne Castle, which was built in the thirteenth century.
