PUTT MOSSMAN

Team of Dirt-Track Riders With a team of riders to take part in the dirt track season in New Zealand, Putt Mossman, the American speedway rider, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Makura from San Francisco. He said that his present team was bettor equipped than the one he brought last season, and would make a good showing. With Mossman are his brother, E. Mossman (holder of the American N.M. A. championship), his sister, Dessie Mossman, Kay Grant, “Fee-wee” Cullum, and two New Zealanders who have linked up with him, Dick Lawton (Wellington) and J. Hobson (Christchurch). The team’s equipment comprises 23 motor-cycles and a motor-car, which is used by Mossman in a stunt new to this country.
