“Decision Does Not Lie With the People of N.Z.”

Sir, —Concerning the "Woman of New Zealand,” who, although she holds an opinion, has not the courage to append her name: May I point out that the decision does not lie with the people of New Zealand, but with the people at Home, who are shouting in the streets of London: “Hands off our King. We want King Edward and his wife. Abdication means revolution.” If New Zealand feels she cannot agree with this, let her break away from the Empire, and have the other nations of the world about her ears.— I am, etc., J. H. COCKBURN. S.s. Akaroa, December 8.
