Vice- Regal. The Governor-General and Lady Galway, and Captain Helier Percy returned to Wellington from Christchurch on Sunday morning. Lord and Lady Hartington left Wellington on Sunday night by the Limited Express for Auckland. Miss R. Herrick, Chief Commissioner,. Girl Guides Association, is staying at Government House. Yesterday their Excellencies gave an afternoon tea party to representatives of horticultural bodies. Sir Edward Harding, Permanent Under-Secretary for Dominion Affairs, and Lady Harding, will arrive from the south this morning and will be the guests of their Excellencies at Government House. Mr. M. S. Arnaud left Wellington last night for the north. The Rev. and Mrs. E. H. Kedgley left Wellington for the south last night. Mr. C. G. Macindoe, Auckland, left Wellington yesterday on his return to the north. Mr. 11. E. Taylor was a passenger from Wellington last night for the South Island. Mr, R. C. Addison travelled north from Wellington yesterday afternoon. Mr. J. Halligan was a passenger from Wellington yesterday afternoon for the north. Mr. R. G. V. Fear, managing director of the National Brush Co. (Aust.), Ltd., Sydney, and of the Fears Brush Co., Ltd., Auckland, is due at Auckland by the Strathnaver on November 20. Mr. W. F. Robinson, Nelson, formerly lecturer in surveying at the Canterbury College School of Engineering, has been elected an honorary associate member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.
