SEAMEN’S MISSION DAY

A successful shop day, organised byMiss Lucas in aid of the Mission to Seamen, was held at Lower Hutt on Friday, Mr. Wallace James lending a shop for tlie purpose. Those who helped with the effort expressed gratitude for contributions of produce, cakes, sweets', and jumble goods, and satisfaction at the sum realised. All the goods were sold. Those assisting Miss Lucas were Mesdames Strickland. G. G. Foster, E. G. Dawson. Bolt. 11. E. K. Fry, Chesney, and MisB. Jarman.
