CONSTABLE’S FUNERAL
The funeral will be held in Wellington this afternoon of Constable Roderick Downie, who died on Saturday at Auckland, where he was stationed. Constable Downie. who was aged 22. had been a member of the force for only a year. His home was in Wellington. About 40 of his fellow-members will march behind the hearse, and the funeral will pass through Courtenay Place and Manners Street on its way from Vivian Street to Karori.
