GALLIPOLI GRAVES
King Praises Care Taken London, September 16. Major A. H. L. Hardinge, Assistant Private Secretary to the King, in a letter to Sir Fabian Ware, permanent vice-chairman of the Imperial War Graves Commission, on behalf of the King, states: . “The King wishes the members of the Imperial War Graves Commission to know how deeply he was impressed, by the beauty of the cemeteries at Gallipoli Peninsula and by the care with which the war graves on the battlefield of Helles. Anzac, and Suvla are being tended. His Majesty was glad to have the opportunity of seeing another example QI the fine work of the War Graves Coir»misslon, representing all the peoples of the British Empire united in a common task. The King trusts that the knowledge of this work may bring comfort to al} in this country and also in Australia, New Zealand, and India who mourn the dead of the Dardanelles campaign.” ' ’
