The general- quality was highly creditable, recently established breeders making a fine display Competition was keen, with values above anticipations. First day: Herefords, account Harris Brothers, 31 to 53 guineas, averaging 38; account H. W. Barkes, 20 to 58. nverag'.ni--35i; account Waimoana stud farm, 15 to 32J, averaging 2H; account "J. C. Field, 15 to 20, averaging 16|: account C. Tietjen, 15 to 55, averaging 33i; a<j. count C.G. Holdsworth, 20 to 61, averecing 402 account T. W. G. Tombleson, polled Herefords, 22J to 34, averaging’ 29J. Second day: Aberdeen Angus,. account D. P. Cameron,. 29 to 46, averaging 40; account Mrs. M. I. Harris, 40 to 100. averaging 54; account Opou Station, 32 to 55, averaging 45; account Charles Matthews, 34 to 67, averaging 48. The total entry was 160, and the highest price 100 by Mrs. M. I. Harris for a yearling.
