REPERTORY EVENING
One-act Plays and Dancing ' Three one-act plays were presented to a large audience at St. Francis Hall last night, when the Wellington Repertory Theatre held its monthly social evening. The first play, ‘.‘Trigles,’’ by Susan Glaspell, was produced by Miss Coralie Smythson. Those taking part were: Mrs. S. Tansley, Miss M. Pound, Messrs. Warren Toogood, Arthur Ashley Jones and B. Cahill The second play, “Beyond the Horizon,” was written by a member ■of the society, Mr. B. R. O’Brien, and was produced by Mr. G. H. A. Swan. Members of the cast were: Messrs. E. Le Grove, B. R. O’Brien, H. Norman Hannah and J. B. Yaldwin. “Queer Street,” by J. Donald Kelly, was the final item on the programme, and was produced by Mrs.-D. J. Davies. Misses K. Williams, A. Buchanan, Messrs. W. F. Balham, N. Cook, F. H. Porter and Kelson Brasted were in the cast. Mr. B. R. O’Brien sang three of his own compositions, which were greatly appreciated. Mr, Charles McDonald was the accompanist. Incidental music during the evening was played by Mrs. McDonald and Miss Olga Burton. The hostesses were Miss Constance Morice, assisted by Mrs. C. J. McKinnon, Mrs. James Jack, Misses Joan Sin it t, Nola Hammond, Dorothy Barr and Yvonne Holmes. Supper was served in the downstairs supper-room, which was gaily decorated with bowls of massed daffodils. Dancing was later enjoyed until a late hour. ' ■
