THEFT OF ONIONS

Taking a liking to a bag of onions in a parked motor-car,in a Wellington street, a ship’s fireman stole it. He -was John Keown, alias Patrick Keown, and also known as "Belfast Faddy.” He appeared before Mr. W. F. Stilwell. S.M.. in the Magistrate’s Court. Wellington, on Satur-day,-charged with the theft of the onions, valued at 2/-, the property of Heury Alexander Lucas. * Sub-Inspector C. E. Roach said Keown bad several previous convictions. He was sentenced to seven days* imprisonment.
