Investigation of Schemes in
Other Centres By Telegraph—Press Association, Dunedin, August 3. A statement that the methods under which the supply of milk is controlled in other cities are to be investigated by a committee of the city council was made at a meeting of the city council to-night. A special committee reported that the present methods of distribution and testing were unsatisfactory and, the testing was unreliable. After a full discussion the committee had resolved to consider other means of distributing and controlling the supply, and it had been decided to make full inquiries from Auckland, Wellington, and Sydney as to methods, cost and necessary legislation, so that the matter could be fully investigated.
