ART STUDENTS’ DANCE

Technical College Event The Technical College libra i . stripped of its carpets, could scarce;, have been recognised last night, «< cleverly had the art students turned it into a brightly decorated hall for their annual dance. Orange, yellow and green streamers were hung in fringes from the ceiling, and round the walls were many gay posters. In front of the stage stood huge bowls filled with greenery, which had multicoloured balloons tied on it to represent flowers. A crackling fire on the broad brick hearth gave out ample heat, and everyone present made the most of attractive surroundings, and a rhythmic orchestra to dance away several pleasant hours. Supper, with steam-ing-hot coffee, was served in a large adjoining room, decorated with holly and streamers. The committee responsible for the arrangements consisted of Misses Kathleen Kempthorne (who wore a frock of tomato matalasse), Zelda Bedell (blue lace and pleated georgette), Frances Matthews (lemon crepe).
