Miss Alisa Bamber, Wanganui, is a visitor to Wellington. Miss Edith Sanders, Parnell, Auckland, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. T. Coltman, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. A. W. Adams has returned to Auckland from a visit to her sister in Wellington.

Mrs. W. F. Nightingale is an Eltham visitor to Wellington, and is the guest of Mrs. Jack Nightingale, Kilbirnie.

Miss K. Gallagher, Hataitai, left Wellington by the Maunganui for Sydney to visit her sister, Mrs. Dooley. Miss, May Pollard, Stratford, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Dankins, Lower Hutt. Mrs. F. R. Eames has returned to Auckland after a short visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. lan Matheson, who went on the Monowai’s island cruise, have returned to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Beamish are Hastings visitors to Wellington, and are staying at the Midland Hotel. Miss Barbara Basham, Kelburn, who went on the Monowai’s island cruise, returned to Wellington yesterday morning.

Miss Lesley Payton, Mastertou, will go from Christchurch to-morrow, to the Canterbury Winter Sports Club’s hut at Mount Cheesman.

Miss Ruth Probst, Los Angeles, who has been visiting Wellington, left yesterday for Rotonia, and will return to Wellington later. . . Mrs. J. J. O’Gorman and Miss Sheila O’Gorman, Wellington, are the guests of Mrs. Lynch, Kumeroa, Woodville.

Miss Barbara Kebbell, Alfredton, will be’’ the guest of Miss Barbara Greenwood, “Hambleden,” Bealey Avenue, Christchurch, for Grand National week.

Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Grigg, Longbeach, Canterbury, will leave next month for Adelaide, where Mr. Grigg will act as judge in the Friesian cattle section at the Centenary Agricultural and Pastoral Show.

Miss Elizabeth Elworthy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Elworthy, Craigmore, Timaru, will leave England by the Remuera on August 18 for New Zealand, where she will spend a few months before returning to England to be married.
