Council and Public Opinion
Arguing that it would create a more lively public interest in' the college. Court of Convocation wrote to the council of Victoria University College, Wellington, last night suggesting that it would be in the interest of the college, the students and the graduates if more of the proceedings of council meetings were open to the Press than hitherto. Mr. T. Forsyth said it was a general rule in all bodies that the things which might be called family matters were taken in committee.
Another member said he was sure the council kept to itself only matters which it Should keep to itself. On the motion of Professor T. A. Hunter, it was to reply in those terms.
