Farmer to Stand Trial
By Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, July 23. After four days the hearing of evidence on the charge against Samuel Edward Hawke, a farmer, of driving a motor-truck negligently and causing death concluded to-day. The accused pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed. The truck allegedly involved was retained for the purposes of the trial.
