DRIVER ACQUITTED
Double Tragedy at Dunedin By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, July 22. After a retirement of 35 minutes a jury acquitted John Francis Harris on charges arising out of a tragedy in Princes Street on May 9, when, as a result of being struck by accused's ear, two men were killed and two women were seriously injured. The charges were that, while intoxicated in charge of a car, Harris caused the death of two men, and alternatively that he caused the deaths through negligent driving.
