Joe Hall v. Billy Aitken

It will come as welcome news to. followers of boxing to. learn that the Wellington Boxing Association has been successful in arranging a contest between Joe Hall, featherweight and junior lightweight professional boxing champion of Australia, and BiUy Aitken, the wellknown Wellington professional, at the Town Hall on July 29. The contest should be a most attractive one, as the Australian has captured the hearts of boxing fans in Hawke’s Bay since his arrival in the Dominion on June 22. He is fast and clever, and has been likened to Johnnie Leckie at fiis best. He had a notable career in Australia, where many of his victories were gained by knock-outs against some of the best men of his class. Billy Aitken will require to put forth all the cleverness and stamina be possesses to withstand this challenge.
