Yesterday’s Quotations The latest buying and selling recorded yesterday on the Wellington Stock Exchange were as follows.—

Austral New Zealand Mining, Ltd. The first gold-mining subsidiary company of Austral Malay Tin, Ltd., has been registered in New Zealand under the title Austral New Zealand Mining, Ltd., to operate the dredging property acquired on the Clutha River. New Zealand. Austral Malay shareholders will be offered a major portion of the present issue of shares in the new company in the proportion of nine shares for every five shares held in the parent company. These will be contributing shares of £1 each, payable 3/6 per share on application, 3/6 per share on allotment, and the balance in calls probably of 2/- per share each. It is intended that should prospecting operations now in progress or to be undertaken later by Austral Malay Tin, Ltd., in New Zealand, result in the acquisition of further suitable mining ground, either on the Clutha River or elsewhere in New Zealand, the new company will have the first option of taking over such further areas. Prospecting is being carried on, seven drills being in operation, and the later boring on areas adjacent to part of the ground included in the prospectus of the new company has developed a considerable additional yardage of profitable ground. . ,
