DISORDERLY CONDUCT
“Drunkenness His Trouble”
Appear tug before Mr. H. P. La wry, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, Leonard Norman Williams, aged' 42, company salesman, was charged with disorderly behaviour while drunk, and with Indecent language, in the foyer of the Majestic Theatre. He pleaded guilty, and was lined £1 and costs on the first charge, and £2 and costs on the second. Senior-Sergeant- J. Dempsey, who prosecuted, said that at 11 o’clock on Friday night accused went to the Majestic Cabaret in a drunken state. On entering he became a nuisance by passing from table to table, and when he went outside into the foyer he was prevented from re-entering. He had left his bat iu tJie cabaret, but this was brought out to him. Being drunk, he made use of the language complained of. The disorderly conduct consisted of attempting to force his way into the cabaret, and to strike the attendant. “Drunkenness seems to be' the defendant’s trouble.” said the police officer.
