BASKETBALL GAMES
Results of Saturday’s Play Masterton, May 31. Because of the adverse weather, only two games in the A grade and one in the B grade were played on Saturday by teams in the Wairarapa Basketball Association's competitions. In the A grade High School Old Girls I beat Stars 11. 28-5; and lona bent High School Old Girls 11, 12-0. In the 1! grade, High School I beat Hospital, 21-0. The Possibles-Probnbles match will oe played next. Saturday, and the other games have been postponed until the end of the round. DANNEVIRKE NOTES Danncvirke, May 30. Sir Alfred Ransom returned to Dannevirkc by to-day's express train from B’ellington. There were uo bankruptcies filed in Danncvirke and district during May. _ One case of scarlet fever was notified in Danncvirke borough this month. Advice has been received by Mr. A. England, chairman of the Te Rehunga School Committee, from the Hon. I’. Fraser, Minister of Education, that Cabinet has approved the conveyance of Te Rehunga children requiring secondary education to the Danncvirke High School in lieu of erecting a new secondary department for Te Rehunga.
