Provincial Autonomy Next Year (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, May 28. Newspapers, in comment ou draft Orders in Council under the Govern meat of India Act issued yesterday express satisfaction that it has been possible to tlx April 1. 1937, as the date for the setting up of the system of provincial autonomy in the 11 British Indian provinces and for the separation of Burma. This decision Ims been facilitated by tlie Government’s adoption of the re port of Sir Otto Niemeyer on the allo cation of certain revenues between the central and provincial Governments. The draft orders will b e considered by Parliament shortly after the Whitsuntide recess.
